What to Do in Ibiza: The Ultimate 3-Day Itinerary

Ibiza has a reputation for wild parties, superyachts, and celebrity sightings—but the truth is, this island has so much to offer even for a quick weekend getaway. With a mix of villa pool days, exciting excusrsions, and world-famous nightlife, Ibiza is the perfect mix of relaxation and unforgettable experiences.

We took a trip from Madrid to Ibiza with some of our closest friends to celebrate my husband’s 30th birthday, and I couldn’t imagine a better place to celebrate. While it’s known for it’s nightlife, there’s a way to do Ibiza for any type of traveler.

If you only have 3 days in Ibiza, this itinerary will help you make the most of your trip—balancing the nightlife with relaxation and exploration. I’ve included my personal tips, the spots I loved, and the little things I wish I’d known before visiting.

So, let me take you to Ibiza!

Day 1: Villa & Old Town

After landing in Ibiza in the afternoon, we went to check into our villa in Sant Jordi. I highly recommend this area if you’re visiting Ibiza with a group! It’s just a few minutes from the airport, close to Ibiza Town, and an easy drive to all the major clubs and beaches. We found Villa Can Tastem on Airbnb, and I would 10/10 recommend if you go with a group.

Other options for where to stay in Ibiza:

After you check into your accommodations, give yourself time to relax and unwind after the flight. Honestly, some of my favorite moments of the trip were just hanging out by the pool with friends. Nothing beats it! Plus, there are grocery stores in the area where you can stock up on snacks and drinks to enjoy.

If you’re traveling with friends or family, I highly recommend hiring a private chef to cook a welcome dinner. It’s surprisingly affordable when split between a group, and gives your first night a celebratory feel.

We hired Ibiza Favorite Catering and have nothing but great things to say about them. They speak with you 1:1 to determine the menu, and even accommodate individual preferences picky eaters. They cook the meal at the villa, serve food and wine, and even do the dishes for you. This was an unforgettable start to our trip that everybody raved about!

Once the sun starts to set, head into Ibiza Old Town (Dalt Vila) for a night of casual bar hopping. This historic part of the city is a mix of cobblestone streets, open-air terraces, and cute plazas.

A few spots I recommend:

Pro Tip: Wear comfy shoes—the cobblestones and stairs in Dalt Vila are no joke!

Day 2: Poolside Morning & Ibiza’s Famous Club Scene

After a fun first night out, let yourself sleep in and enjoy the villa. I made a simple breakfast at the villa for our group and spent the morning floating in the pool before gearing up for a night out.

Ibiza’s clubs are legendary, and the one we chose to visit was Ushuaïa’s Ants Party. This is a day-to-night party with incredible house/techno music, a high-energy crowd, and day-club vibes you probably picture when you think of Ibiza.

Key tips for your Ibiza club night:

  • Pre-book your round-trip ride to and from the club. Taxi lines are long and chaotic, and you don’t want to be stranded at 4 a.m.
  • Wear something fun but comfortable—you’ll be dancing a lot. Look into the vibe of each club so you know what to pack!
  • Stay hydrated! The Ibiza sun and dancing all night is no joke.
  • Lastly, use your common sense. Just like anywhere else, keep an eye on your belongings and be aware of your surroundings to ensure you have a safe and fun trip!

If clubbing isn’t your thing, you can swap this for a sunset dinner in Ibiza Town and an evening exploring the Old Town’s quieter bars.

Day 3: Beach Clubs & Sunset Farewell

For your final day in Ibiza, it’s all about rallying after a night out and soaking in the island sun. You have two amazing options:

  1. Spend the day at a beach club. I looked at Nassau Beach Club and Beachouse, both of which give you the iconic Ibiza beach experience with food, drinks, and lounge chairs just steps from the sea.
  2. Book a boat party or go beach hopping on a boat – This is hands-down the best way to spend your last day in Ibiza. Swim stops, music, and a front-row seat to Ibiza’s famous turquoise waters make this one unforgettable!

After a full day in the sun, head back to Old Town for dinner at La Oliva. Their outdoor terrace is perfect for a final night in Ibiza —but make sure to secure a reservation in advance!

Then grab a gelato to go and wander through the streets as the sun sets for the perfect goodbye.

Pro tip: Take your gelato and walk to the port and look at all the mega yachts. Doesn’t hurt to dream!

Final Thoughts: How to Make 3 Days in Ibiza Unforgettable

Ibiza might be famous for its clubs, but the truth is, a 3-day trip here can be as chill or as wild as you make it. My perfect itinerary mixes a little of both—lazy villa mornings, one big club night, and a final day to enjoy the beach or boat life. If you’re looking for a similar luxury beach vacation with European vibes, check out my 4-day French Riviera travel itinerary!

I guarantee when you come to Ibiza you’ll meet people with great recommendations or want to try something new, so my advice is always to keep your itinerary flexible!

Here are my quick tips for a smooth trip:

  • Book your villa, club tickets, and beach clubs in advance—especially during peak season.
  • Shoulder season (May, June, or September) is ideal for fewer crowds and better prices, but if you plan to go clubbing, you may not see the biggest performers who play during peak season.
  • Balance your trip. Unless you’re more resilient than me, don’t try to party every night or you’ll miss the beauty of the historic Old Town during the day!
  • Budget for more than you expect. It can get very expensive, so make sure to plan and save ahead for a stress-free experience.

When you leave, your feet will be sore, your camera roll will be full of sunsets, and you’ll collect so many memorable moments from nights out with your friends.

Whether you’re celebrating a milestone like we did or you’re just looking for a quick getaway, Ibiza is an iconic spot that has so much to offer.
